Don't just take our word for it
Not only does the water taste amazing, but I love knowing it’s offered in pure glass with no plastics involved. The quality of the spring water speaks for itself, crisp, mineral-rich, and refreshing. Highly recommend for anyone serious about great-tasting water!
Pauline L., Peoria
Great experience with Peoria Mineral Springs! The plastic jugs with the handle were easy to transport, and the water tastes naturally fresh without any aftertaste. It’s hard to go back to regular bottled water after drinking this.
Ian H., Bartonville
We purchased the 5 Gal jugs and were immediately impressed. The water has a super clean, smooth taste that you just don’t find elsewhere. The jug itself is heavy-duty — you can tell Tobias cares about quality.
Robert and Melissa Y., East Peoria
Excellent quality water and convenient delivery service. The taste of Peoria Mineral Spring Water is the best I’ve had, so fresh, no chemical or plastic taste like you get with other supermarket water. I also just love supporting this historic spring!

Rooted in History, Bottled For Today
For ancient people, free-flowing springs were seen as sacred and mysterious, the lifeblood of the earth. Across centuries, these waters have continued to inspire wonder.
When the last glaciers retreated from the Peoria Valley more than 14,500 years ago, they left behind a pure, gravity-fed mineral spring that still flows to this day.
Now it is your turn to experience its rare taste and enduring heritage.

1856-1872
Ransom Hickey was the first person to monetize the natural mineral spring water. He founded the R. Hickey Bottling Works. The business operated in a long, red building at the foot of Union Hill. Peach Cider, Lithia Seltzer, and Rose Malt were some of the beverages Hickey marketed.

1892-1900
Preston Clark is responsible for the patented name ‘Peoria Mineral Springs.’ Clark sold the area’s best bottled water, seltzer water, whiskey, beer, malt beverages, and many other drinks. At this time, Peoria, IL became known as the “Whiskey Capital of the World.”

1976-1989
Charles Traynor Jr and his wife Joy, formed Peoria Mineral Springs Inc. They operated their business in the original bottling room, and delivered water to clients in an Oldsmobile station wagon. They had a filling station on the side of the house where patrons could come and fill their own bottles.

1988-1989
For a year, Charles Traynor Jr, owner of Peoria Mineral Springs, provided bulk water to Koala, a water bottling company owned by Beecham Pharmaceuticals. In late 1989 the contract with Koala was cancelled because the lease with the bottler was not renewed.

2025-Present
Tobias Traynor, son of Charles Traynor Jr., purchased the original William Moss home and the historic spring in 2010. Today, he is the current owner of Peoria Mineral Springs Inc., proudly offering natural mineral spring water in both 1-gallon and 5-gallon BPA-free jugs.
